LIEBE deals with the conditions of being in love and heterosexual gender clichés - from delusional harmony to desperate dissonance. When does being in love become delusional and when does the desire for physical closeness turn into obsession? When does the attraction to the unattainability and otherness of the other become a source of self-destruction? Based on diary entries by Nobel Prize winner Annie Ernaux, dancing and singing merge into a virtuosic performance in the stage design by Danish artist Christian Friedländer. LIEBE is a co-production of toaspern|moeller with LOFFT - Das Theater Leipzig and Ballett Basel.
